Evaluation Q6. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of making this product?

To make my media product I used a Sony Panasonic handheld video camcorder.
To film effectively with one of these camcorders, a tripod is the best for panning shots, long shots and mid close ups whereas close ups were best done handheld as you can get the angle you want more easily than using a zoom.
Sequences of footage were easy to film as the camera is easy to use with only a record, stop button. I learnt I can film successfully with and without a tripod and that using a wider range of camera shots and shooting it lots of times is good as it helps in the editing process

The editing software I used to edit my media product was Coral Editing Software in advanced edit. This software is easy to navigate and simple to edit with. Editing sequences of my film was easy as it is a drag and drop system and all the attributes are easy to find and use. This made editing fun and I learnt how to make a successful film.

I learnt a lot about making films by using Coral as it taught me how to add music, titles and special effects to my film to make more visually interesting, for example in my media text we used flash backs as a special effect to create this we added a flash back from the Coral archive. The screen shot below is from my real media text showing the two scenes i used in the flash back.
I also used a song from the schools archive of songs for action films where i found a perfect song that suited my media product perfectly.
Adding titles to my media text was very easy as all i had to do was add a template of the font and attribute then change the text to what i needed and change the attribute if i needed, then move it to the right place on my media text and it was done.
